I was flicking through my websites logs this morning, just checking out how things were going. When I noticed something strange. The stats package I’m using (awstats) apart from being the hands down best one I’ve come accross, provides a listing of the most common OS’s that are used to browse my domain.
Normally for noisymime.org this is headed by OSX with Windows a close second. This month has been slightly different as I’ve been working on a gadget for the Google Desktop (Google Calendar) that has drawn some Windows users. It wasn’t this abundance of Windows users, however, that grabbed my attention:
In case you somehow missed it….. CP/M!!!! CP freaking M?? Now I’m guessing this is probably using a customised browser that reports something bizzare, but the thing that really surprised me is that AWSTATS actually has an icon for CPM.
I only have one question. Why?
CPT says:
Even more frightening than CP/M . . . people are suing Solaris as a desktop!
tim says:
hahahaha. I like.
